Protests Against Marcos

The KDP was formed shortly after the declaration of martial law in the Philippines.  Throughout its existence, KDP helped to lead protests against Marcos and against US domination in the Philippines.  Demonstrations occurred at every Philippine consulate in the US, at the Philippine Embassy and at the White House.

KDP activists, with their allies in the Anti-Martial Law Coalition (AMLC) and later the Coalition Against the Marcos Dictatorship (CAMD) organized protests against the Marcos regime at every opportunity.  Every September 22, at the anniversary of Martial Law, during visits by Imelda and Ferdinand and on other occasions.
