This website is published by KDP Legacy, a non-profit organization dedicated to curating and disseminating the work of the Katipunan ng mga Demokratikong Pilipino (KDP) or Union of Democratic Filipinos, an activist organization of Filipinos in the US in the 1970’s and 1980’s.
The KDP Legacy Board of Directors is composed of Jaime Geaga, Jon Melegrito and Melinda Paras. The co-editors of the site are Jaime Geaga and Melinda Paras; and the website design is by Ces Rosales.
The committee of KDP members who have been working on the web site include: Ces Rosales, Jon Melegrito, Florante Ibanez, Ben Yanto, Mila DeGuzman, Cathy Tactaquin, Cindy Domingo, Wicks Geaga and Abe Ignacio. Also assisting were Emil DeGuzman, Vince Reyes, Elaine Elinson, Rick Rocamora, and Lourdes Marzan. Notable mention is Jerry Espejo’s generous help in purchasing a scanner/printer to digitize the Ang Katipunan newspapers.
Special thanks to the Conor Casey and the University of Washington Special Archives and Sine Hwang Jensen and the University of California Ethnic Studies Library for access to their collections of KDP materials. Also special thanks to Lucy MSP Burns, associate professor at UCLA’s Asian American Studies Department for lending copies of Ermena Vinluan’s Sining Bayan plays for us to scan and publish in the website.
